Driving to Fairleigh Dickinson University in Florham Park, NJ. Our mailing address is 285 Madison Avenue, Madison, NJ 07940-1099. FDU's College at Florham campus - better known as the Florham-Madison Campus - is home to Maxwell Becton College of Arts and Sciences and Silberman College of Business. FDU is also easily available by rail and air. New Jersey Transit (Morristown Line) commuter trains stop in Madison and nearby (walking distance) Convent Station with direct service to New York's Penn Station and connecting trains to Hoboken, NJ. Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is just thirty minutes east via I-78.

by way of I-287 (from I-80 or I-78):

Follow I-287 north or south to Exit #37 - "NJ Route 24 east". After getting on Rte. 24, take the first exit, #2A - "Morris County 510 west, Morristown". You are now on Columbia Road (continuous with South Orange Avenue in Essex County). Be careful here: you must move left immediately to make a left turn at the first traffic light. (There are two lanes when you get off the ramp expanding to five lanes just before reaching the intersection: 2 left, 2 straight, and 1 right. Be careful if traffic is heavy.) After the left turn, you will be on Park Avenue (County Road 623). Proceed about one mile to the fourth traffic light. Turn right, passing the Hamilton Park Conference Center, onto the Madison Campus.

from northern NJ (via I-80):

Follow I-80 east or west to Exit #43A - "I-287" - and take I-287 south to Exit #37. Then follow I-287 directions, above.

from the Newark Liberty Airport area:

Follow I-78 west and then - road divides: bear right - NJ Route 24 west. Take Exit #2A - "Morris County 510 west, Morristown." You are now on Columbia Road. Get into the left lane as soon as possible and turn left at the first traffic light. The left turn will be permitted from the two left lanes. This puts you on Park Avenue (County Road 623). Proceed about one mile to the fourth traffic light. Turn right, passing the Hamilton Park Conference Center, onto the Madison Campus.

from central and southern NJ:

Follow I-78 or US-22 in central NJ, from the east or west, to I-287 and take I-287 north to Exit #37 - "NJ Route 24 east." Then follow the I-287 directions above. From south Jersey take the New Jersey Turnpike north to Exit #14, get on I-78 west, and then follow the Newark Liberty Airport directions, above.

from the Jersey Shore:

Take the Garden State Parkway north to exit #142B - "I-78W" - and get on I-78 west. Then follow the Newark Liberty Airport directions, above.

from New York City uptown (via the George Washington Bridge):

Get into the left lanes on the upper deck and follow I-95 into New Jersey. Keep to the left and look for the beginning of I-80 west of Fort Lee in New Jersey. Follow I-80 west to Exit #43 - "I-287." Take I-287 south toward Morristown and then follow the I-287 directions above.

from New York City midtown (via the Lincoln Tunnel):

In New Jersey get on the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) south to Exit #14. (Newark Liberty Airport is also available from this exit. Avoid Exits 14A, 14B, and 14C!) Get on I-78 west and then follow the Newark Liberty Airport directions above.

from New York City downtown (via the Holland Tunnel):

Keep left coming out of the tunnel in New Jersey and follow the signs for the Pulaski Skyway and then US-1/US-9 south. As you come off the Skyway keep right on US-1/9, which is marked for local lanes and I-78. Take I-78 west and then follow the Newark Liberty Airport directions above.

from Staten Island (via Goethals Bridge):

In New Jersey get on the NJ Turnpike (I-95) north to Exit #14. (Newark Liberty Airport is also available from this exit.) Get on I-78 west and then follow the Newark Liberty Airport directions above.

from the north, west, and south:

From New England and New York State, the best route to FDU is to find your way to I-287 (Tappan Zee Bridge or NY Thruway/I-87) and then follow the I-287 directions, above. From Pennsylvania and points west, use either I-80 or I-78, both of which feed into I-287. Using I-80 take I-287 south to Route 24. From I-78 you have to get on I-287 north to Route 24. From Delaware, Maryland, and points south take I-95 north to I-295 and the Delaware Memorial Bridge. After crossing the bridge (no toll this way) take the New Jersey Turnpike (further north the NJTPK again becomes I-95) north to Exit #14, get on I-78 west, and then follow the Newark Liberty Airport directions, above.

parking: There are several parking lots with more than adequate space available. Please obey the parking regulations posted at the entrances to the various lots.
